Watched I’m Still Here this afternoon and am now rewatching Being There. My friend pointed out the funny title combo between the two.

As someone that doesn’t consume much TV anymore, I was shocked to find my favorite thing from Sundance was Hal and Harper. Best TV show I have seen in years. Great writing. The cast is amazing. Lili Reinhart is gives probably my favorite TV performance in years. She is that good in this.

Y2K not only filled me with nostalgia for my youth, but for stupid fun movies that know exactly what they are. Just the type of art that had fallen by the way side and makes me sad.

My goal was to watch 365 films this year and just crossed that off with this fantastic film. Thanks to @criterion.bsky.social for being so good that I will always buy films I have never seen and be thrilled I did.

Memoir Of A Snail is pretty great (and wildly depressing). Between this and Trent Dalton books, Australia is putting top tier living life in the wake of tragedy stories.

The amount of times they say “Hunter” in the Kraven trailer is hilarious.

One of the best emo bands had their discography reissued in a collection. If you are an emo fan and don’t know them, I implore you to listen.

Coachella is definitely not for me, but I am pretty far removed from what is popular these days and this line up proves that. I know the big acts and a few others, but so little of the rest.

Finally watched Read My Lips (2001; Audiard). Just a very solid film with great performances. Cassel is always good, but Emmanuelle Devos is just amazing in this film.
