In my socialist utopia, there are no toll roads, and all the highways stay silky smooth because most of the travelers are on the world’s fastest and swankiest bullet trains.

I can’t say I disagree. Many farmers definitely think they are part of the protected in-group. If you asked them to choose their best option among: (a) an appeal to Trump; (b) prayer; and (c) building a coalition against oligarchs with everybody else, I fear few farmers would pick option C.

Yes to Farm Aid. AND (2 questions, please): (1) are we talking clearly about why farmers need aid in this moment? And (2) what, if anything is or can be done to get farmers to see this as a sea change moment, to get them to vote with us (instead of against us)?

When my (notoriously never online) wife got home from work, after greeting her and asking about her day, I said “oh, Charlie Kirk has been shot.” She clearly had no idea who he was, so I called up his photo - nope, nothing, no idea.

Very sad to hear about the shooting at Evergreen High School in Denver today. There are three young people in critical condition whose lives (if they survive) will never be the same. Sensible gun laws now!
