there are 2 or 3 bee species buzzing around in the turks cap and flame acanthus next to our deck. heres an orb weaver spider taking advantage.

Carpenter bees have been in the plants next to our wood deck all summer. need to inspect for damage 😣

progress day one. got three of four posts assembled and hastily thrown up just to gauge the footprint and get approval before continuing.

bc i didnt want to dig the posts into the ground for a simple walkway arbor. also theres a gasline nearby.
ended up using flat limestone bricks and precast 4x4 post bases.
