This post came to mind with all the challenges trans military members will face in the near future. Minorities have always been a driving force across all branches. They had to be strong in the past, overcome hurdles, and continously prove themselves. You will conquer this too.

When they tried to cfack down on it the girls said that most the best officers, nurses, and secretaries would be among those leaving so the order was rescinded. The post goes into more detail about how the commader who gave the order was immediately made aware that all three women who worked closest with him were among those he wanted to get rid of. One of which pointed out that the lesbians in the military were highly decorated, hard working, and never had a case of misconduct.
