This is the most straightforward thing they've said so far. They're using the military to "liberate" Los Angeles from its mayor and governor.
Kristi Noem: "We are not going away. We are staying here to liberate the city from the socialists and the burdensome leadership that this governor and that this mayor have placed on this country and what they have tried to insert into the city."

Sen. Alex Padilla is then forcibly removed!

More of this, please! #resist
Received a letter from POTUS today purporting to remove me as Commissioner and Chair of the FEC. There's a legal way to replace FEC commissioners-this isn't it. I've been so fortunate to serve the American people and stir up some good trouble along the way. That's not changing anytime soon.

Book #3 for 2025. Who couldn't use this book right now? A cursory glance at the news is enough to f*ck anyone's brain. Mind your mind, friends! #booksky

A bit of a palette cleanser after my last read. James Herriot is an absolute delight and his stories a welcome balm. I highly recommend keeping a copy of this book on hand to enjoy with a cup of tea. Bucolic musings are good for the soul and these can be revisited again & again. #booksky #2025books

I listened to this one ahead of the inauguration. Jarring to be reminded of the assault on democracy, journalism, civility, etc. that was the first Trump term. I really enjoyed Chapter 11: Words Have Meaning, or They Ought To. Gessen references Confucius’ Rectification of Names: #2025booksread
