I'm looking forward to talking with Cindy Schwartz about all things education - specifically why our nation's children need a diverse teacher workforce and why I think this work is still a sacred vocation after 27 years. @nysut.bsky.social

Trump ran on promises of lower costs for working families. But in the end, his tariffs and taxes will lead to higher costs for imports, higher prices for consumers like us. That’s not what he promised. www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archiv...

Americans are mad about the price of eggs & gas - that’s why so many of them voted for Trump in the first place. These tariffs aren’t going to bring grocery or fuel costs down. If anything, they’re going to drive them sky high. www.nbcnews.com/news/pump-pr...
Gas prices set to rise as Trump tariffs hit Canadian and Mexican oil
The U.S. imports some 4 million barrels per day of Canadian oil, 70% of which is processed by refiners in the Midwest. It also imports over 450,000 bpd of Mexican oil.

Oh, no no.no.
Teaching the Bible in public schools isn't just bad for non-Christians. It's also an awful idea for Christians. Who's to stop the state from determining how Christian a student is based on their interpretation of the Bible?

This is messy and the pushback should be swift and unequivocal.
