It took me a couple of years to be able to listen to his voice again because he died way too soon, I was the same way with Jim Croce too, and the same to watch a Robin Williams movie. The epitome of only the good die young.

This season is even better than the 1st. My dad was a verbally and at times physically abusive alcoholic, loved my sober dad but struggle to forgive the drunk and mean dad. I am 70 years old and I doubt I will ever truly forgive him.
