It's National Zoo day! Off to the 2nd best zoo in the country we went! Not only is the drive up (yes, up!) to the zoo beautiful, but the views of Colorado Springs are magnificent as well. Reservations are required. Make sure you the zoo is on your list of places to visit.

What an amazing day at the Annual Colorado College Powwow! Weather forced the performances indoors, but everyone adjusted, and a good time was had! Watching everyone dance made me hungry, so of course, I had to have an Indian taco 🤤. The textile room has artwork with descriptions in brail. How cool!

It's Dandelion Day 🌼! To many, dandelions are a weed or a pest, but they have a greater purpose. They support pollinators, like the bumblebee, seen here. Preserving dandelions can contribute to the resilience and health of our entire pollinator network. We cannot survive without them!🐝🦋🦟🐞🌼

As a professor of English, allow me to try, humbly and with the proper respect, to offer an appropriate response to the President’s address:

Fuck you, you fucked-up fuck, and fuck all the fuckers who willingly fuck with you, especially. You can all fuck all the way off, and then fuck off some more.

This weather has me excited for all my insect pals to show up. Like this beautiful lady here, the praying mantis. She's a European mantis. Their name comes from the distinct way their first pair of legs resembles a praying pose. Those legs are 'raptoria legs', they're beneficial in capturing prey.

The Love Bug is real, y'all! It is a species of the March Fly. It can be found in Central America and the South Eastern United States. It is named so do to mates becoming attached. They even fly together! I've also included a picture of a Ladybug because they're way cuter!

I went to the Paint Mines out in Calhan on Friday. What an amazing treasure! @epcparks is doing a fantastic job! The pics do not do it justice.
The Paint Mines is named so because the Native Americans would collect the different hues of clay to make paint. Make sure to visit! Easy hikes.
