LAL seems to have made it through, too. They seem to not like the mid-Atlantic.

This is a mandatory grounding until resolved it appears, right? Because oof 😅

I assume the interior retrofit is still pending, though?

I wonder how the Airline CEOs that were standing behind the administration’s stance of passing a CR are feeling about that same administration now.
November 6, 2025 at 9:14 PM
This sounds like arbitrary extortion to leverage the administration’s position on the shutdown, that isn’t going to actually solve any problems. Just pay them, god damn. How would this be implemented? Mandatory flight cancellations? I hope the big 3 are happy now they signed onto the Rep CR 🙄

In fact, I would say that United’s earnings were more of a disappointment to market expectations. Their revenue gains were lower than expected and they aren’t taking a potential back-pay for flight attendants into their cost structure as investors thought they were doing.

Obviously not what their peers are pulling out right now, but for a more domestically-focused version of their peers, this lines up about right. Especially considering the larger headwinds in domestic travel this year.

This actually beat Wall St. expectations by a fair margin. Expectations were a $.27 loss per share, it only ended up being $.17. Fourth Quarter projections are also higher than expected, and they should somewhat comfortably make a profit for the full year now. Previously, there was a potential loss.

They get the one missing a tail flying again just to have two more taken out. One step forward…

I thought they said these were going to be on their new deliveries from their 2024 order, but I know the new deliveries this year still haven’t had them. Glad to hear it’s still in the pipeline. I wonder what the delay is considering the E2s already have them and this is the same fuselage.

They say a CRJ is like a cockroach, you can chop off its head (tail) and it will still live for several more hours (years).

Looking at the playback on flightradar24, it looks like AA1240 turned onto the runway at the start of 18:39 and AA3552 was already over Crystal City/Arlington after aborting landing at the start of 18:39. If those are correct, the landing was already aborted before the takeoff even started.

This is shocking. I heard they had a new investor sign on with a really big cash infusion, they must have pushed this. I don’t think I would fly Avelo, but I would be excited about seeing E2s in the US market. They sound optimistic about their finances. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ www.prnewswire.com/news-release...

It’s also interesting because Robert Isom mentioned that they were looking into up-gauging out of New York on yesterday’s conference call during the Q&A portion. Maybe this may be somewhat more permanent and the A321Ts and future A321XLRs will be shifted to other transcon routes instead?
July 25, 2025 at 4:17 PM
Looking up pics of current CR9 interiors though, it looks like there is a mix of those with adjustable headrests and this fixed-wing style. Perhaps this is just a reupholstering? And the future CR9s that get this makeover that have adjustable headrests already will keep those? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
June 5, 2025 at 12:45 AM
Would they potentially have removed the adjustable headrests because the seat is taller, though? I mean, likely not that much taller but I imagine there has to be certain clearances with the bins above.

I think it’s the Main Cabin Extra seats that look funky with the three different blocks of color. The regular Main Cabin seats would look more like the 787-9P seats that have dark blue headrests as well, which look better to me. I will say, the padding on these seats seems more generous though.
