I really wonder what happened there. The article doesn't say why they ordered only 1 ep. Did they want to "gauge reactions" before ordering more? Surely by then it's many months later, and too late to put the team back together...

Also in the streaming era it's just so weird to see a fully produced pilot that didn't go to series. Does this ever happen anymore? And it was an expensive show, with location shooting and VFX...
