Never make plans with money that is not in your pocket yet; the chicks may never hatch leaving you at the building castles part.
Of course we should always respect our seniors.
But after three weeks upcountry, talking to folks both old and older, I’m convinced of one thing: wisdom doesn’t come with age alone.

The five core interdependent modules of any business: value creation, marketing, sales, value delivery and finance oscillate around supply and demand but with variances in the problem solving technique.

When giving counsel, espouse to practise empathy and emotional intelligence so as not to impose your life anxieties and possibly own aspirations on the listener or audience but rather listen to them and speak to their specific situation in life.

Hmm. Do I stick to the main path through the woods or take one of the narrow tracks through the trees? I usually opt for the latter and end up climbing over several fallen ash trees.🌳

anti-AI marketing sounds like a worthwhile venture through 2026; not to disparage the whole industry but just to try appreciate human art forms given how dead the internet is getting with AI slop populating feeds all over.

Humility and empathy are elements I find quite conducive for a healthy conversation and are an impetus for getting deals and negotiations done. Arguments are ideal for colleagues but for senior-juniour discussions, these two ingredients are golden

At a period in world history when democracy is undergoing extreme stress tests in the US, most of Europe and democratic African nations like Kenya, Tanzania etc, i find strength in the willpower of thought leaders like Justice Ketanji Brown with her dissents at the Supreme Court. Are we listening?

I just don't have the patience and bandwidth for taking counsel from an individual who has not espoused the ideals he or she talks about in their own lives. Manifest it in your deeds, I respect individuals who live the inner life.

The worst way to give advice is to project your own life shortfalls, ambition and goals onto another's.

The handout culture in both our political and informal apolitical interactions here in Kenya sow the seeds of dependence; a habit that inhibits self reliance and self management.

regular sleep, exercise, great nutrition: maintaining healthier behaviours in our 30s may prevent or delay subtle molecular and cellular changes that, if left unchecked, accumulate over time and contribute to functional decline in our 70s. Full read here: www.bbc.com/future/artic...

"Only aggregated data will be shared and not individual-level data" reminds me of TikTok staff accessing US users' data all in the guise of protecting privacy. Public participation should have been a pre-requisite of the signing - announcing after the ink has dried only aids unconstitutionalism.

Wow, to have the intellectual distinction to discern differences between environment-based behavior and addiction is a great ingredient to live the inner life.

Kenya granted the US unrestricted access to: personal medical records, genetic data, lab samples, insurance details, and digital health platforms. For 25 years. In exchange: $1.6B ($200/person). It bypasses Kenya's own data protection laws. This is what digital colonialism looks like.

Gotta admit, to have an idea and see it come to fruition is such a blend of dopamine, endorphin and serotonin all meshing together in reality. AI designed this logo a few weeks ago and to see the physicality out from all that software is heartening and inspirational too.

the farther away your phone is when the alarm rings the more the likelihood you will actually wake up and go about with your premeditated pillow thought plan or agenda.
