RIP Jimmy Carter. A thoroughly decent man.

Gisèle Pelicot should be person of the year. What an icon of courage.

I’m proud of Ireland’s response to the Palestinian plight. Israel’s kneejerk response of antisemitism to every criticism of its murderous regime trivialises the charge and takes attention away from the problems actually facing Israelis.

Belichick to Carolina is just a crazy story. Absolutely buzzing. 🩵

Unsurprising.

Incredibly disappointing ending to the Panthers game, but so many positives to take, especially for Bryce. If anyone should be afforded a mistake, it’s Chuba.

It’s looking like a good day for the centre. Should once again be able to form a strong, stable coalition with Fianna Fáil and hopefully Labour.

Black Friday by Tom Odell is a fittingly beautiful song for the day that’s in it.

Hoping for a decisive victory for government parties tomorrow, and hopefully strong gains for Fine Gael and other centrist parties. Let’s keep abject populism and ruinous fiscal policies at bay.

Thanks for everything, Mack. It was time, but still sad to say goodbye. Let’s hope for a last hurrah against NC State on Saturday!

It’s such a shame that the primary talent of stupid people like Joe Rogan is manipulating young men’s minds. His comments on Ukraine are irresponsible and disgraceful.

An utterly pathetic performance. All our momentum is gone.

What an awful half of UNC football. Criswell has completely fallen apart this game.

That’s a disastrous video for Simon Harris. Just what you don’t want when leading in the polls a week out.

The collaboration on Homesick between Noah Kahan and Sam Fender is magnificent. Such a feel good tune.

The ICC’s arrest warrants for Benjamin Netanyahu and the leaders of Hamas are absolutely justified. Unfortunately, it is unlikely that they will come to justice.

Just discovered Google NotebookLM today - an almost scarily advanced tool. It can convert any piece of text into a podcast of two people discussing the article.

Streets of Philadelphia. What a song. One of the best verses in music.

“I walked the avenue, ‘til my legs felt like stone
I heard the voices of friends vanished and gone
At night I could hear the blood in my veins
Just as black and whispering as the rain
On the streets of Philadelphia.”

Some of the music from the late 60s and early 70s is incredible. Just listened to Wichita Lineman, Streets of London, and If You Could Read My Mind back to back. Pure genius.

Mildly terrified for the visit of KC to Charlotte on Sunday. The Chiefs are gonna be angry.

One thousand days of horrific, bloody war and suffering waged by a murderous terrorist state. May this despicable war come to an end as soon as possible. Glory to Ukraine. 🇺🇦

Wasn’t crazy on Stick Season to begin with, but giving Noah Kahan a second chance and he has some brilliant songs.

Northern Attitude, Paul Revere, and The View Between Villages strike a perfect balance between his love for and ennui towards his hometown.

Harris and Martin came out of that debate well, even if the former came off as a little too polished.

Mary Lou was short of actual answers as usual, and the bizarre lack of a SF manifesto certainly hurt her.

Tóibín was the winner of the night. Poor performances from the centre-left all round.
