Yeah, but that’s not how vocal cords work. Try making a sound with yours without moving air, I’ll wait😁. They could have referred to some alien vibrato-organ or something and then I could have suspended disbelief. I wonder now if I replayed it if I would hear breathing between sentences. Ugh.

(I’m not as pedantic about the audible space explosions because whether they make sound or not is irrelevant to the plot).

You can’t breathe in space. This is my only problem with eps 1&2, but it’s a glaring one. The guy who went outside should not have been able to use his “vocal cords”, even with the device on his neck. They covered lack of sound waves but not lack of air to make them.

I enjoyed it (never knew it was a book) but am still a little annoyed at the ending, which I won’t state here. Let’s just say I think there’s a bit of a logic problem.

Kate McKinnon. I’ve fantasized about this very question but couldn’t think of a male star who could pull off smart, gritty, tough, and vulnerable like James Garner did, so I expanded to female stars, and she seems to fit the bill and is also creative and independent enough to add her own take.
