I had a lover who taught me this long ago. He lived off the grid just a few miles outside of town. He put his onions in the coals of the fire pit, And then we would grill our protein, chicken, fish, steak.

I rarely eat pastries any more. But the craving has hit and I have purchased raspberry danish to hold me when I can buy blueberries for muffins to get me through the weekend.
