I try and get a pic of the kid and fam on New Year's day just to have a nice starting point for the year. This is Ruki's. Solid start from my perspective.

I am loving the process of shooting with the Zf in black and white mode to guide the capture and then processing the RAW image with the adaptive black and white mode in Lightroom. Every year I try getting away from it, and every year Adobe sucks me back in for just a little bit longer.

Have this idea for a few dozen posts from cameras that are decidedly less than impressive by today’s standards. This is more for me than anything else. I’m always surprised by how alright looking some old images are when you’re just looking at it on a phone anyways.
This image shows a coastal landscape on a foggy day. In the foreground, there's a grassy field with some low vegetation including patches of beach grass and small shrubs. Beyond this is a sandy shoreline that transitions into a calm body of water, likely a bay or inlet. In the distance, through the misty fog, there's a small boat visible on the water. On the far right of the image, a large house or small collection of buildings is visible on a peninsula or small island. The architecture appears to be a traditional New England or coastal style with what looks like a main house and possibly related structures. The sky is very light gray and hazy with fog, creating a muted, atmospheric scene. There appears to be a faint line of birds flying in the distance. It’s a picture of a garden snail. Not even a very good one at that. By which I mean picture. I’m sure the garden snail is an upstanding citizen in Gastropoda world.

Haven't been getting out much with the camera lately but had the chance to swing by #COTA this past weekend for #CarsAndCoffee. Not a car shooter myself but you don't have to be to get something good looking at these events. Some great labors of love on display.
