I couldn’t make it to @pupout.london this month due to what I thought was a slipped disc. Unfortunately the reason is far, far more serious and will dramatically shorten my life to several months before I succumb to the affects of neck, liver and bone cancer

2024 has been a quite year for me that started with a ulcer like pain in my tongue. Unfortunately that later became cancerous and delays and frustrations with the NHS led to its growth consuming about 40% of the left side of my tongue

This is a burn from an intensive course of #radiotherapy and treatment is both delicate and painful. It is getting better, as with everything else but at a very slow pace

I think the burn from #radiotherapy is worse, or more painful tonight that last night. They did say it will be a couple of weeks though before things begin to improve so I guess this is expected

I played #HalfLife2 for the first time twenty years ago and it remains the best FPS ever made

Today I rested in the knowledge that it won’t get any worse, at least for now. Radiotherapy is over and whilst it’s very painful to swallow, that will get better

I also vacuumed our apartment so it looks nice which made me feel better for a little while

I’ve completed radiotherapy and can now finally concentrate on recovery, whatever that looks like

I have been a good doggo at the vets and completed half of my radiotherapy program. 10 sessions remain

For some reason I’m very hot and I’m really struggling to cool down

Week 1 of radiotherapy is complete. Side effects so far include no saliva production (makes sucking dick an unpleasant thing along with eating), pain when swallowing and fatigue. Am taking co-codamol to help

A new side effect is now apparent after every session
