A friend suggested breifly on of the farmers might be good for the Local body elections for Environment Canterbury - I was quick to correct!

They’ll have a hard time getting tenants in the current market without being cheap. Businesses shutting up shop everywhere. Prime malls decorating empty spaces to try and hide the holes.

National under John Key just took anything Labour announced that looked popular and released a watered down version so the masses just figured "oh, its already done. No need for change". Thats what they are avoiding IMHO

My thought exactly. Christchurch wasn't considered a high risk seismic zone until we had a massive earthquake. I'm sure there could be some rationalisation to be made but this is just typical Coalition of chaos business is more important than lives.
