Cardboard + pixel connoisseur and Newfie enthusiast living in the PNW whose entire life story is a pop-up book comedy-of-errors counter-argument for Darwinism.
From here on, what follows will be scattershot, manic ND-on-novelty-binge dumps around a loosely defined campaign involving seafaring clan of Dwarves with a geomancy fetish, a sunken island, a long-crashed Netherese floating city and a scheming Alhoon who's the puppet and not the puppeteer for once.

Like any proper infodumping, it's mostly for my benefit (narrative + infodump = candy for my brain) but I hope that if anyone is vaguely interested there's something in here you can apply or consider for next go at campaign crafting. It also may get me to actually stick to microblogging for a while.

So, I now have a true and legitimate purpose: I'm going to infodump like a madman about the homebrew setting I'm having to cook up from 0 to done in 60 days, along with ways to make the table presence feel epic. I'll share my process, content dumps, and seek feedback from the D&D gurus out there.

So, armed with a hodgepodge of digital tools I had already cobbled together (WorldAnvil, Inkarnate, DungeonDraft, DNDBeyond, Lets-Role) I decided to drag my unrelated tinkering around with Midjourney and NotebookLM into the mix. That last bit has been a game changer coming off the blocks.

I've already fallen down the homebrewing hole on multiple occasions, and have learned all the usual mistakes about simultaneously over-building and under-building as well as the toil needed for content creation at scale but with easy-access simplicity. But my ND brain is 2000% fixated on another go.

Recently back from a 14th century castle rolling clackity clacks and slaying BBEGs, I asked my youngest what he wanted for his birthday coming up in Feb. Answer? A L20 one-shot but like the experience we had on vacation with full-tilt production values and dramatic DMing. Challenge accepted!

Playing in three active campaigns and DMing two others, I'm way way way down the rabbit hole again and this time the spouse and kiddos followed it with me. We even managed to pull of a full-family vacation at D&D in a Castle (10/10, would recommend to all).

As a GeezerDM, I started playing back in <mumble>79 and loved the everloving fuq out of the game until about the time 3E rolled out and my lifestyle had shifted. Now, as a dad with two teenagers, I re-entered the universe in 2022 landing at the tail end of 5e and hitting the ground running hard.

After several attempts to set up shop on other microblogging platforms, I am going to attempt to flip the script and lean hard on the other end of the consume/publish spectrum. Fortunately, recent events have provided the motivation and context I was looking for, summed up in 2 words: homebrew D&D.

Thing is, even though I had a Twitter account for over a decade prior to the Muskovite Makeover, I never really took the bit. My prediagnosed ND brain hated the feeling of an uncrated firehose, and I never felt like I had something worthy to broadcast to what felt more like CB radio than a forum.

Okay, y'all, here we go. Elder GenXer here with an standard-issue lifestyle template — designer in tech, game nerd (video, board and TTRPG), recently diagnosed neurodivergent — who is making a legit run at Bluesky after abandoning nearly all socials site due to general platform enshittification.
