Ohhh I'm so glad you caught the reference, great taste!

Lufia II, randomizers, ROM hacks, Pokerogue… all that inspired Mochi Conquest.
I really wanted to capture that JRPG gameplay but reimagine it as a roguelike loop.

Surprisingly I didn't find modern games doing it!
Demo’s planned for December!

Yeah, it’s actually more of a strategic adventure map!
The key is planning ahead. You scout, prepare, and then choose when to fight, or get attacked, so it’s never random !

Mochis aren’t just sweet treats, they also carry a deep spiritual meaning, often used in rituals. In Mochi Conquest, they represent divine essence!

As for the music, I wanted that mystical Japan vibe, so I used choirs, inspired by Ghost in the Shell, Nier: Automata, and even Pokémon Scarlet! 😄

If you purify an enemy and recruit them, they’ll remove the mask and fight alongside you as their true self!
