Could you please do something about the gross underfunding of neurology services in Greater Glasgow? Epilepsy patients get a 5 minute phone call once a year. Can’t speak to a neurologist when things go wrong, only epilepsy nurse who can’t make clinical decisions.

I keep getting pictures of my Evry delivery and then have to play the game of ‘Which neighbour’s door is this?’. To be fair though it’s mainly the fault of google maps wrong location for my house.

I could not, with a clear conscience, vote for this incarnation of Labour again. My childhood friend was a refugee from Uganda in the 70s. She had her first communion at 3 because her mother didn’t know if they’d get out alive. Labour have turned their back on human suffering.

I really like her but I don’t know if it’s because she reminds me of my lovely niece.

The Labour candidate is the only one who lives in Barrhead. Also the councillor who died was Labour and did a lot of work for the town over many years and was widely respected over the political spectrum. They went round people’s door’s campaigning unlike the other parties.

Unfortunately it’s not all good news. If you have epilepsy your neurologist will speak to you once a year on the phone for 5 minutes (daughter has complex neurological condition). Father-in-law has been waiting on a prostate operation since December and has had repeated infections from catheter.

I care for my adult daughter who has learning difficulties and health problems associated with her genetic condition. If grossly underfunded local authorities could provide daycare facilities (with a range of activities and proper staffing), I would still be in work and not claiming CA.

A link to this information would be helpful. I had no idea there was such a thing as the Learning Disability register!

In my almost 60 years on this earth I have never felt threatened by a trans woman in the ladies toilets. I did feel uncomfortable about the big burly man in the public toilets in Scarborough the other week who came in to the ladies and refused to leave because he’d paid his 40p.

My Labour MP is a cheerleader for these cuts. I truly regret voting for him.

The cuts to PIP will affect DLA in Scotland. Taking money from disabled people is austerity. As the mother of a disabled adult, I am deeply concerned. I voted Labour in the general election but I probably won’t next year because of this.

Absolute poverty doesn’t make people more able to work.

As well as the government taking benefits from society’s most vulnerable, local authorities are cutting services for the same people due to budget cuts. Labour are looking more and more Tory.

I love it when that happens. I’ve just had an excellent cup of tea myself ☕️

In Scotland keech means excrement. When I heard kekius maximums, I immediately wondered why he was calling himself big jobby.

They could fund local authorities properly and stop the ongoing cuts to social care
December 23, 2024 at 3:49 PM
I’m getting an adult carer support plan in January from the carers centre but there’s no guarantee of funding being reinstated. The SDS forum said the cuts are horrendous and not fit for purpose for younger adults with learning disabilities.
