Each day, I make the bed. I come home to find the covers pulled down. Sometimes, she's still under them.

Meanwhile, clouds rolled in last night and squelched my plan to image the Horsehead nebula, so here's an image from a few nights ago with which I am dissatisfied.

Since I first started learning #astrophotography I've been hoping and trying to get a decent image of Mars. This is the best I've managed so far. Hoping for better in the future.

We live on a winding, sloped road a bit out of the way. A year ago, 8 inches of snow effectively cut our neighborhood off for a week. The 4 solid inches of lingering ice from refreeze had a lot to do with it.
A view of our street one year ago today. You can't actually see it because there's 8 inches of snow. One the of the gentler slopes descends away from the camera. Winter-bare trees give the only indication of where the edge lies.

Got to leave work early for snow. We might be overreacting as it has ben precisely 365 days since the last snowstorm, which basically shut down the city for a week.
Anyway.

Magnavox Odyssey 2, released in 1978. The console is a fat slab with a full qwerty keyboard and an angled up top section with a slot for the cartridges. Two blocky controllers with a central joystick and big red square button at the corner are wired to it.
