Agreed. Shaming everyone in our own party for talking to people when we could have been wiping the floor with them and their flawed logic/bad plans for the US and offering our own competing vision was a losing strategy

Remember when all of MAGA boycotted Bud Light, Target, etc. and the “radical left” who were coming to “destroy the country and force their values on you” just shrugged and said “mmkay, have fun”

This is how genocides start sadly. I think many people are perplexed and fear frozen. Traditional means of changing minds in modern society aren’t working atm

US Gov/media outlets have stopped responding to protests in a way that doesn’t just radicalize right wingers. Internet (twitter, etc) culture has made upsetting “libs” a joke rather than provoking conversations about human rights and equity. Honestly, there is mass cult delusion in the US right now

Educator here. We still teach good ol US Government and civics, still use textbooks, worksheets, teach kids critical thinking skills. The US has a problem with technology. Misinformation and rage bait are more engaging/interesting to adults and children sadly. Social media erodes critical thinking
