We’re never going to have a comprehensive subway network a la Paris, nor do we currently have a great urban walking culture that would support development of a subway system.
Street-level rail transit wherever possible if how we build that culture. Make it easy to hop on and hop off.

Seattle is so short-sighted. Alaskan Way was the perfect opportunity to center public transit and active transportation options, as was all the work that was done on 2nd Ave through Belltown in years past. There is no better way to highlight the tourism business appeal of an area.

FWIW, not all female bosses on the Hill have bad reputations. Plenty of them inspire loyalty because they treat their staff well. Every Warren campaign staffer I know loves her. Patty Murray has a deep alumni team that admires her. AOC treats her staff well. Same with Tina Smith

Anything downstream of the angle stops is fine to do yourself, so long as you know what “downstream” and “angle stops” mean. From your water meter to the stops should only be done by real plumbers. I have a 110+ year old house and would hunt down every previous owner if I could.

I work early so I can pick up in the afternoons. My wife works late so she can drop off in the mornings. On my later/longer days, my mom picks up. We basically never all see each other together.
