There’s a plain English certification for Irish pharmacies called the Crystal Clear mark www.nala.ie with recommendations for labelling and that’s what we use. It’s certainly more popular with patients.

Take TWO tablets FOUR times a day. We moved away from the passive voice ‘to be taken’ a long time ago. It’s difficult to understand for people with poor literacy or who don’t have English as their first language.

I don’t know if Lynn Madden’s book, called Lynn if I remember correctly, is still available but you could try a library. It’s a hard read but an important one.
