the thing is, you totally *can* make a more cartoony design work in live action. the 2025 superman costume has all the colors and shapes of the comic version, but the material choices and extra details help it feel more plausible.

1-3 are absolutely incredible, i think you'd enjoy a lot of the thematic stuff even if the stories are ultimately kinda uneven. everything onwards is mixed to kinda bad, but i have a real soft spot for peace walker. and hey, going with the theme of the story lmao
