In the early days of the Internet I created websites for others who were willing to freely share the good news of Jesus at no expense to their visitors. The $ sign is an ugly hindrance to spreading such precious life changing knowledge.
Let the eternal purpose of God humble and stabilize you—He is not making things up as He goes. Your place in Christ is part of an ancient, divine plan.

God's kindness appeared not as an idea, but as a Person. Christ didn’t come to offer potential salvation—He came to accomplish it. And He did, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to His own mercy. Have you rested in that lately? Jesus welcomes the lost and weary.

Stop calling God's saints “sinners”! The Saints’ identity is “in Christ.” Believers are not saints because they no longer sin; they have been joined to the Holy One and set apart for Him. Saints are not ontologically “sinners” as they were outside of Christ.

If only Christian preachers would write epistles for their own churches, following the example of Paul’s letters. They should start with the indicatives and then move on to the imperatives. Then look for someone brave enough to read it before the church family.

There is something beautiful about a heart that is made willing-
-especially when it comes to Jesus not from pressure or fear, but from love.

In preaching Ruth for Advent I've realized how interesting it is to compare Naomi with Job. Both lose everything. Both become unrecognizable in their grief. Both assume God is to blame...

Both are restored. Why? With Job it's hard to say. For Naomi, the answer is in the steadfast love of another.

No english dictionary has been able to explain the difference between the two words COMPLETE and FINISHED. When you marry the right woman you are COMPLETE! When you marry the wrong woman you are FINISHED! And if you marry a wife who likes shopping you are COMPLETELY FINISHED!

Guilt can be a harsh taskmaster, chaining and tormenting your spirit. Ensure that your feelings of guilt are justified. Avoid becoming trapped by guilt for life. God has called you to be liberated from other people's unresolved issues. Bear their burdens, but not their guilt.

The assurance of forgiveness for God’s children remains as relevant today as it was when they first received salvation. This continuous forgiveness is rooted in God’s unchanging nature and His promises. By faith in Jesus Christ, believers receive the ongoing grace of forgiveness. Read 1 John 1:6-9.

The postmodern man is very relativistic. He is always about the business of fashioning a god in his own image, how he wishes God to be, according to his fancies, preferences, logic, imaginations, and philosophies. And this is true, of course, inside the church as well. - Todd Braye

"Behold, the herald of peace treads upon the mountains, bringing good news of God's reign. In this proclamation, there's a call to celebrate our freedom in Him, for He has vanquished our oppressors."

In the midst of tumult, God stands as a stronghold for those who trust in Him, yet He overflows like a flood against His adversaries. This duality of mercy and judgment reflects His perfect justice and unending love.

"The Lord is slow to anger but mighty in power; His justice, like a storm, sweeps in, both terrifying and awe-inspiring. In His patience, there is mercy, and in His might, a refuge for the faithful." Thoughts on Nahum 1:3

"Marriage is an institution that allows two people to endure together the troubles they wouldn't have had if they had remained single."

"Hesitations about imprecatory prayers, especially in the West, often expose (among other things) a lack of sympathy with our persecuted brothers and sisters around the world and throughout history."

Why Not Me? The Quiet and Consuming Eye of Envy
If we let envy have its way with us, the gifts we have fuel pride and the gifts we don’t breed bitterness. How can we train our eyes with grace?

Local churches face a unique challenge: navigating potentially controversial teachings, both biblical and non-biblical, from well-respected media ministries. Instead of escalating tensions, let's prioritize open dialogue and critical thinking within our communities.
