So can I use real user names and just limit them to the physical devices? Or do I really have to creaate users like DEVICE01, DEVICE02, ...?

Ive created a device with my laptops MAC address and changed the license type of my user - I still can login from other devices without any issues. Our BC Partner told us to create users like DEVICE01 and DEVICE02, but that would make it impossible to log user actions.

Llama 3.2 is a much smaller model, right? But I gotta try phi-4 for AL coding. Are you using an extension in VSCode or how are you interacting with the AI?

Doesnt work out of the box, but I managed to install the Sql Server it with these scripts github.com/jimm98y/MSSQ.... I haven’t tried SSMS.

As mentioned above - we have removed all base app customizations recently. I think most of them were from our migration from NAV 2018 to BC21 and until recently we didn’t have the time/resources to move the customizations and test the changes.

It was more per less theoretical. We had a bunch of base app customizations until recently and we were discussing the possibility of a technical upgrade. Fortunately we chose to undo our base app changes.

There was a session 1 or 2 years ago at BC Techdays with some benchmarks. Event Publishers and Subscribers had only a very very very small performance impact.
