You'd be surprised how many readers there are who feel the same way though! One of the common complaints my book gets is that there are too many characters and too much jumping around. And that's okay; there will always be diff types of readers. But I want to try my best to balance things if I can!

This is so interesting and insightful for me as an author. My own books tend toward jumping between characters and focusing more on complex plot than getting as close as possible with characters. I knew this would put off some readers, but didn't realize just how much of a dealbreaker it could be.
