I finally give up and google it, and, turns out changing this stupid default requires changing two options under...... gesture settings? like, lol

I go to the settings to try to figured out how to change this hellish default, I couldn't find anything related to physical buttons, and search wasn't helping either

I'm not sure if this is specifically a hyperOS thing, because like, things weren't nearly this bad when I had to setup oxygenOS on my tablet like half a year ago? also had to change a lot of stuff, but like... it wasn't anything even close to this?

like, the initial version of 10 was pretty similiar, yeah, but it was already a bloated version of 8.1, just like how 8.1 in a way added some bloat to 8
