their 'a' games. i can't single one of them out over the others, they played off and complemented each other in exactly the way they needed to. i will say that i want more bill skarsgard comedy though, his timing is great. well worth checking this out if you haven't already.

with a script that doesn't waste a second of screen time. the ninety minutes passed in a flash, and it really felt l;ike a success on all levels. lots of praise has to go to the cast. this kind of movie stands or falls on the basis of performances, and all four of them were absolutely bringing 2/x

this one went places i really wasn't expecting at the start, and i think i really benefited from having minimal knowledge going into it. the story starts off simple enough, but then it's disaster after reveal after twist until a pretty shocking conclusion. it's a really tight film, very lean and 1/x

time for my 'official' #vundahalloweenathon entry for the day, again on the theme of 'comedy of terrors'. this one is new to me and i'm going in blind. #nowwatching villains (2019) and unsure what to expect other than bill skarsgard being all hot and whatnot.

of movie which makes people want to pick up a camera and try it themselves. it may look scuzzy, but the fast pace, laughs and effects rival what a lot of larger studios can produce. can't wait to revisit the frighteners later this month.

well that was a blast, it's been too long since i revisited this one. nobody would have believed that jackson would go on to do lord of the rings if you'd showed them this! he seems to try to distance himself from it in the media these days, but i think it's fucking fantastic. this is the kind 1/x
