About me: I am a PhD Candidate at Duke University in Social Psychology studying how we make sense of ourselves and others while measuring stereotyping, categorization, identity and other factors. Outside of research I enjoy film photography, jiujitsu, coffee, and a plethora of other hobbies :)

My heart is full from all the questions I got this year from @spssi.bsky.social conference! I got to present my work examining how identity denial from either ingroup or outgroup members can predict Multiracial wellbeing. Being Multiracial myself this work is close to home and I hope it is a start!

Imagine if every scientist published an op-ed in their hometown paper showing how their community sparked their curiosity & shaped the research that's now changing the country? That's what @sciencehomecoming.bsky.social is promoting—collective action, one story at a time.

As a part of the @sciencehomecoming.bsky.social movement, I wrote an op-ed back home to Trenton NJ. Here I highlighted a little bit about my own journey and why it would not have been possible without federal investments into the STEM infrastructure by the NIH and NSF.

The AAUP wholly condemns this punitive weaponization of federal grant funding. This attempt to discipline & control a university campus is a transparent hallmark of authoritarian rule & harshly violates the central mission of education to serve the public good.
