I ended up sawing off the “non-essential” portion of the PCB and resoldered the LCD at a right angle to suite my needs. Sorry Joey!

The board includes full documentation printed right on the back. I’ve been searching for a low-power LCD for my solar-powered sculptures, and this might be the perfect fit. It consumes just 20uA and has all the right symbols for the job. ⚡🌞

I designed the layout in illustrator and used it to create the static background. The text and graphics are all dynamic. I’m using a Particle Photon 2 which is connected over WiFi. All of the data is fetched using webhooks!
