My 8 year old neurodivergent child just cussed up a storm because he can't find the Lego he needs so we sent him to his room to cool down. As he stomped away he goes "YOU DON'T KNOW HOW THE WORLD WORKS!" 😂😂🤣🤣🤣 Oh, my sweet summer child.

My step dad always made sure he treated me like family. His mother always made sure that I knew I wasn't. She's invited herself to the family celebration and I'm having a lot more anxiety about it than I thought I would. Why do I feel like I need to be good enough for someone I don't even like?

Yesterday, my 5 year old chose to hang out with me and decorate cookies over screen time and I'm still high on that feeling.
