ippatsuman, who is another playable character in tatsunoko vs capcom, is also a time bokan character! he's from the 6th show in the series, gyakuten ippatsuman, while the yatterman duo and doronjo's gang are, of course, from the 2nd show, yatterman

(and regarding that last one, there is an unused texture in misadventures of tron bonne for a servbot with a face directly based off of odate buta, the most popular gag robot and overal mascot of the time bokan franchise as a whole, so i am 100% certain the other similarities are intentional)

the other main characters in legends also have counterparts in many of the time bokan shows. the bonne family are like the iconic goofy villain trios, barrel casket is like the old professors in some of the tb shows, data is kinda like the robot sidekicks, and the servbots are like the gag robots

i'm not so sure about battle network, but i think the reason for that difference in legends might be because it could have been influenced by the time bokan shows, more specifically yatterman and zenderman. time bokan shows generally also starred a boyfriend & girlfriend duo of protagonists

Panel 2- The same child, now a teenager, is being told, "You'll change your mind when you're older." To which the teen responds, "I doubt that"

Panel 3- Now an adult, someone off screen asks them, "Aren't you thinking of having kids?" To which they respond, "Nope"

Panel 4- The same person, an older adult now, is being told, "better have kids soon, or it'll be too late!" to which they respond, "That's fine"

Panel 5- Now elderly, they are once again asked "Don't you feel like you missed out?" to which they say, "Still nope."

Panel 6- They are now in their death bed, clearly close to death. The nurse says, "Shame you didn't have kids, don't you regret it?" To which the person says "You know what just kill me already"

yeah i was looking up some info about something and i found some modern game reviews from just a few years ago of games like magical drop and they were all like "this is like tetris"

and its like, what, because there are colours and shapes on-screen?

y'know what's really really awesome about the people who write video game reviews is that they'll say literally any puzzle game is "like tetris" even when it has nothing in common with tetris
