Last year one person organized buying 50 lbs of chilis from NM so we gathered to roast, clean and vacuum seal those and everyone took some home. We like food.

Then there will be a St Patricks Day feast (host likes to cook, corned beef and all the things). Maybe an Easter and Mothers Day brunch depending how many of us don’t have family plans.

This same group of friends will have a superbowl party (most of us don’t care about the game, we are there to socialize and eat).

Secondary bonus game - they had decluttered the house, wrapped those things up and we each got $100 in poker chips to bid on the wrapped gifts. There was a expired can of beans, post-its shaped like bologna, a tacocat game etc.

I just got home from a Bad Art party. Everyone brought a wrapped piece of bad art and we exchanged white elephant style. The hosts made a pot of chili and we just hung out and socialized.

The old wood I think. Reminded me of the crawl space off my closet in my childhood bedroom (1926 farmhouse). Also the thought of how many people have enjoyed them and how exciting they must’ve been when installed!
