I've interviewed a lot of people about punk & noticed a theme of people getting into punk either through their own big brother/sister or a friend's older sibling. Is that how you got into punk? An older sibling of some description?

Morning 😴 Back at work after a long weekend off... getting those back to work nerves so channelling my inner Rollins.

Moving house in less than a week and packing would be going a lot quicker if I didn't stop to coo over books or music...today I was stopped by this Minor Threat photo book by Glen E Friedman 😍
Front cover of a book called 'Just a Minor Threat'. The cover image is a man in the middle of a crowd holding a microphone

And Pinterest- which used to be my favourite but now I have to scrutinise every image to work out if it's AI.

New badge! And it makes me laugh every time I look at it 🤣
Badge in the shape of an old lady from the back, with the words 'Help is on the way dear!'.

One of my faves. I worked in a record shop when I was 17 & I was allowed to play this in the shop whilst we were setting up for the day.

Newcastle says no to fascism.

The far right brought a hundred or so with them, bussed from far and wide. This city turned out 1000s, from local communities, estates and streets. Geordies of all backgrounds coming together and outnumbering the purveyors of hate by some distance.

Newcastle united.

Bit of a long shot... can you think of any punk songs that are about (even tangentially) being nice, kind, empathetic etc? I'm writing something PLUS want to argue with some people on a FB page so would help me with both 😅👍

On this day in 1977, the Clash released 'Complete Control'. I have a theory that it is the most popular Clash song amongst fans ON AVERAGE. It's not often fan's no.1 but pretty much everyone puts it in their top 10. So aggregate or something makes it TOP 😎

I LOVE coriander. I have been known to just chew on it raw whilst it's still on its stem. 🙈

My bf took me on a surprise night out last night to see....Inside No. 9 at the Sunderland Empire! Seeing a live production of one of my ALL TIME fave shows was so cool! Feel very spoiled! 🤩
