Palestinians have no where to flee to. No where safe to go. No ability to avert their attention from the horrors all around them.

And they have one plea to the rest of the world — do NOT look away.

…NOT because flight/fleeing is inherently cowardly; but because *you* are in fact safe from the horror.

*You* are thousands of miles away using a mobile device to observe horrors that make no immediate threat to you. *You* can safely and easily resume your regular life.

…you are actually, physiologically, fleeing in fear.

Even though it seems like a small reaction, you are *effectively* fleeing the horror and returning yourself to safety.

I’ve been anti-centrist for a long time, but it was because I thought centrists were just spineless liberals making concessions and compromise with a conservative party that would never concede anything back - driving the whole country further right…

This keeps the two-party system in tact and drives the whole country towards “centrism”. But really “centrism” is whatever the two parties decide lies in between them, and it excludes a whole worldful of other opinions.
