For those of you who knew Victoria Brownworth on Twitter, she passed away from cancer yesterday.
She was a fearless journalist who reported on AIDS in the 80s (when Reagan was ignoring it), lifted up the LGBTQ community, & rooted out corruption.
Her wife, Maddy Gold, died of cancer in 2022.

Returning hostage today. Looks like he’s come out of a concentration camp. Starved! And returns to find out his wife, children brother &dog all killed in Oct 7. Where is the world outrage? Not one visit from Red Cross or UN! And supposedly starving Palestinians look robust! Where is the outrage???

In the past, the New Year was always filled with optimism. How different this year is. The war in the ME goes on. We have a Pres-elect who foreshadows autocracy and has chosen cabinet members who provide little hope they can prevent catastrophic events such as inflation, health crises, or violence.
