Amen to that. Blue Texas voter here. The gerrymandering is beyond absurd and our elected officials (Abbott, Paxton, Cruz, Cornyn, etc.) are mostly abysmal, with some notable exceptions like Crockett. She's awesome!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't there a rather important revolution against a king and taxation without representation that started about 1775 or so that lead to a nation being born and a Constitution and amendments (aka "Bill of Rights) being written?

I hear you. Greg Abbott never filled Sylvester Turner's seat after he died in early March. The election to fill it is Nov. 4th, also making 8 months of nonrepresentation for some Houstonians. Abbott is one of Trump's lapdogs, so no big surprise.

We took our granddaughter to a penguin encounter and got to interact with a penguin. The marine biologist doing the encounter was so enthusiastic, positive, and shared her love of the penguins she cares for, she inspired my granddaughter who now wants to do the same thing!
