20 years without a cigarette, after 30 years of trying to quit. It's not easy and you will have to find what works for you. I too ended up in the ER, not a heart attack but the warning was there. Haven't had even a puff since then. We are all rooting for you!

My father left school in grade 8. During WWII and he went to work. In his late teens & early 20s he pretty much educated himself. He became a successful businessman but I think he missed out on schooling. He could recite about every Robert Service poem and passages from the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam

My father insisted we all got a post secondary education. Mine was in Journalism. Never worked in the field but the things I learned have served me well in every job I have had over the years. Just having a post secondary education opened doors for me.

Started Season one of True Detective but never got through the whole season. Skipped to season 4 with Jodie Foster. Loved it! Trigger warning though, there is a suicide.

I am lucky to live nearby and rarely have to line up anymore. I also have the luxury of going any time and day of the week.

I once attended a pot luck, everyone but me showed up with a dessert. I had a small casserole. We ordered a couple pizzas. I enjoy a true pot luck.

Everyt8me I see a vehicle with one of those tinted license plate covers, I think, there's a person who loves to speed, as they fly past me.

Even it's hay day I never put much stock in their "Best of". Maybe a misnomer. Might be better to call it "Favourites of". I mean, how can I say a restaurant is the best when I haven't tried them all. I guess that is all moot now anyway.

See aggressive, reckless driving every damn time I am out in the car. This afternoon, was was going slightly more than the speed limit on the Lawrencetown Rd, person comes speeding up behind me, passes me on a double line. Caught up to them a short time later stuck behind a large truck.

It was over 60 years ago, a different time, a different place. I was 5 years old, before school started my mom walked the route to school with me a couple times, 1.6 km. On the first day of school my friend & I set out on our own, she knew a short cut. Ended up late to school & at the wrong door.
