Seedy Sunday at Ascot Hills Park was a great time! We took home cuttings of Golden Currant (for adult Monarchs) and sowed 1000+ Narrowleaf Milkweed seeds for future planting events. A wonderful collaboration between several LA based environmental organizations 🦋🖤

We also met with 3 nurseries in the LA area to discuss how we can collaborate to grow Narrowleaf Milkweed for Monarch Mami planting events! This is an important partnership and we are so excited to get to work.

The 28th Western Monarch Count reported the second lowest overwintering population ever recorded since tracking began in 1997. This supports USFWS' proposal to include monarch butterflies for protection under the U.S. Endangered Species Act.
