Thankfully a lot of it is undercuts

Quick spray whilst the wind is down. Annoyingly can ran out when 95% done. So going to be some brushes touch ups

Got my next battalion done plus some fillers so I can detach the guard. Now 3 line and 1 detached grenadier done

It’s worth it if you can get it. I keep my eye out when visiting craft shops and have got a couple of bargains to stock up on

Partly it’s got pva in it, but it’s got better strength and sealing properties. It’s also thicker so keep shape better for this type of application

Once this dries it is solid and great for painting without the absorption you get from sand. If you get modge podge on a figure remove with a wet brush. A fine layer of it will dry matte and clear, so it’s a lot more forgiving than filler

3) I then use a mix of course round basing grit (sand is too fine) 4) I dip in the base and push the grit over from a few directions. The different layers of modge podge has a very good levelling effect to hide the figure base edges

I changed how I texture bases a while back for single skirmish figures and multiple bases. Here’s a little guide. 1) I use a course brush to gloop on matte modge podge to the mdf base 2) then a small brush to put a thinner amount of the figures attached base

Got the bases textured and started cleaning up some metals

Glued to bases, started prepping the next batch and undercoat on opolchenie (think they will need another)

So far I’ve been lucky. My nemesis seems to be attracting cobwebs though as I spray outside. Trying to get them before they adhere to varnished figures

Managed a quick varnish spray at lunch as the sun was out

Just a couple of metal bits I’ve missed and these are done. Was aiming for end of month, won’t get bases done but pretty happy considering hand troubles. Proper pics when based

Anyone remember seeing a picture of this painted up. I’m sure I’ve seen it in the heavy metal pages of WD?
