I remember when Windows 95 came out and people were up in arms angry about having to upgrade their PCs to use it. The cost of hardware back then was quite a bit higher compared to general incomes than today is.

That isn't accurate, and seems to inject a single type of hardware tech as an end-all.

Gotta do something to distract people from the other stuff. What Epstein files? What 30 days?

I know that feeling, even if not on the same scale. Quite sad about it, but they really drove me to dump my XBL subscription earlier this year. I hardly touch my XSX anymore. I'll be happy to see someone get SteamOS ported over to it, then I'd play it happily. MS really biffed this whole thing.

Whatever we can do to help each other get projects working. Interfacing was a serious topic back in the day, with many books on the subject. CPUs have so many bus concepts.

And the cops just caught the fuckers.

They should feel fortunate none of the many gun owners in this part of the state caught them.

I've been quite satisfied with Bose's QC and Aviation headset muffs. They're quite comfy.

It's a bit late for the thousands of farmers who gave up and sold their farms to land aggregators this year.

Looking through some of the old projects, it's much easier to see now which projects were a waste of time and which were really important. Hindsight, I suppose.

My previous PC was an evolution. It started as WinXP, then upgraded to Win7, 8, and 10. I still have internet shortcuts from the 1990s, and some STILL WORK, which blows my mind. Old docs, to-do lists, project archives, early digital camera pictures (640x480 fancy!)
