Just a beautiful issue. JMS kicks into gear here; there’s a moment between Peter and MJ that lasts several pages here and it’s so good. It’s so good to see them treated and respected as actual characters and not just names.

Tho I was cautiously optimistic with the previous issue, I can confidently say that I am now excited for the direction Kirkman has for the book. The little bits of build up and mystery along with the big character moments work great.

It still holds up to Nintendo's usual standard of experimenting with mechanics, it’s too bad most of the mechanics are very fidgety and have to fight the game's collision detection and physics.

Not bad, but you can tell MacKay is rushing to get some kind of conclusion out of this arc before the final issue releases next month. Which sucks too cause what little bits of his usual greatness there are are pretty good.

A pretty damn good time. I like the idea of exploring and even humanizing the Yautjas to an extent. Even if it kind of devolves into CGI noise towards the end, but hell, even that is still enjoyable in a brain dead way. Overall a good time.

For an NES game, the things it does were so revolutionary. And while not holding up the greatest (particularly in terms of its gameplay and difficulty curve), it still manages to be a strong emotional journey.

Not much to be said really. One of the earliest examples of Nintendo's adherence to level design standards, even if Mario's momentum is a bit weird, but this is still the definitive way to play it imo.

It still is a fun time and a great challenge that offers a fun twist of the main game's mechanics, but it's so short and suffers from a lack of variety. I would've loved to see some traversal challenges.

Disappointing cause it's really good but man, it's criminally short. Only 5 major levels with no mini-games, which sucks cause controlling Knuckles in-game is super fun, his story is also intriguing but is barely touched upon.

I mean yeah, the level design and philosophy starts really showcasing a lot of speed and less emphasis on precise platforming (mostly) and while it’s still tons of fun, I still think it doesn’t reach 3&K's level. Still fun.

Kind of a disappointing one. It introduces an interesting mechanic towards the end where you can do this pretty neat attack, but it's barely used and it's introduced too late. Also, it's hella short and ridiculously easy.
