Technically yes, but he missed 30 consecutive days in 1972.
A couple of things, that's when I was able to listen to games on WTIC, and I remember asking my father why they were booing Yaz.
With the unbalanced schedule and a healthy Yaz, we probably win the division that year.

After Hondo, my favorite Celtic of that era. I ended up 6'7 225 too. Now 275. I played the same style of basketball. Unfortunately I wasn't that good for our Division 1 Monmouth team, but held my own in pick up games with the varsity. Actually they were pissed because I could box out and rebound.

This was like the 85 team. A great run, young QB and great defense. Just ran into a juggernaut. Darnold like McMahon, is at his apex.

Reminded me of 85 and 96. Both runs were unexpected, but beloved teams, and had young QBs.

All year long when Thayer was in, they usually had a big play or at least positive yardage. He was on the injured list most of the week, but I agree.

Think about this, we let go of two of the greatest Lefty Relievers for a box of Cracker jacks. Wilbur Wood and Sparky Lyle. I always remembered how everyone would say Lefties get killed in Fenway.

That 78 team is probably my favorite Sox team, but man that bench was bad. Kendall, Bailey, Duffy, Brohamer... And they let Carbo leave for nothing. And they let Reggie Cleveland leave for nothing.
