Concept 2, made more thin, gave fur, and got rid of some of the exoskeleton

They're kinda new! I started concepting them about a month ago :3

The Makitan are a very work orientated species, but they are okay with it, they love it :>

So it kinda depends! Most are born independent and end up working the more complicated jobs. Meanwhile there is a chance that they are just part of the hive and work on nectar production, they're like bees getting pollen and such.
Then you have the queen, she controls the hive and leads the rest!

So yes, they would end up thinner/chubbier depending on how much they produce, and during the more harsher seasons on their planet (they go through very long winters) they would produce a lot!
And *usually* it's pink but very rarely can be a mint green color!

They're biological! The pink bits are all made of this nectar the species produces :3
