My wife is from the PNW and I do agree that passive aggression / complaining at home tends to be the norm which I find peculiar compared to other parts of the US I’ve visited. Not sure why people cant just say « hey don’t do that » and that’s basically the end of it.

I am also from the British Isles originally and things would be solved much more quickly if people just spoke up.

Almost every brand does use slave labour though, whether knowingly or not. It’s built into the system. To be brutally honest even Bluesky will require the use of slave labour to function. I like it here but its a more ethical choice rather than one that doesn’t create negative impact.

He blocked me after he posted a picture of a child miner, claiming the child was mining cobalt in DRC, and I pointed out it was in fact a child miner in a gold mine in CAR. He kept showing that picture too, despite clearly knowing it wasn’t accurate.

Not as bad as the campaigners he drove around in a u-haul and abandoned, but this is technically a recruitment fee and sits within the field of modern slavery he seems to specialise in.
