There's a spanish brand called Latericious that also makes sets for half the price of what Lego would cost. Can't speak on the quality because I haven't tried them yet, but definitely interested. I'm also keeping an eye on the ones you mentioned

I have a few Lego sets, that I bought mainly on sale (I don't think I've ever paid more than 50$ for one set), but I do agree, they're so expensive. I've seen there are some alternative brands that do nice sets, but haven't tried them yet. I guess it's the same if you just enjoy the building aspect
