I’m in battle with someone who is against DEI hires but doesn’t have a problem with someone being given a government job who is completely unqualified but has a nice ass. They argue for merit based hiring until they have to justify it.

Just got called a “soy boy” by someone 10 years younger than me. Why? I expressed my belief that someone should be hired to an important government position based on qualifications and not how nice their ass looks.

Background: My college girlfriend died 4 years ago today. I thought I was going to marry her once but I screwed that up. We remained friends over the years. Today I found out she didn’t die from Covid like I was told and am having trouble processing how it really happened.
