In the example that I put there, the sentence that described it was “Galdalf like Delphox with braids.” Then I answer “why braids?” Then his daughter comes into play because she braids it for him. Then I ask “why not have a sibling?” Then his son came into play!

In terms of art processes, I tend to use dark base colours shifted towards a warm or cooler version, then I add light to it, usually this light is complementary in colour to the base so that it creates good contrast! I have an overall shape to describe the character then the silhouette follows!
